Phil Weatherwax is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as both a guard and forward. Born on January 15, 1985, in Springfield, Illinois, he showcased a remarkable talent for the game during his high school career, leading his team to numerous state championships. Weatherwax subsequently played collegiate basketball at the University of Illinois, where he earned All-American honors and established himself as one of the top players in the NCAA during his senior year.
After declaring for the NBA Draft in 2007, Weatherwax was selected in the second round by the Atlanta Hawks. During his five-year professional career, he played for several teams, including the Hawks, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Miami Heat, achieving an overall average of 12.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
