Phillip Cooper is a former professional American football player who played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Born on March 12, 1985, in Dallas, Texas, he excelled in high school football before attending the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a standout defensive player. Cooper was selected in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
