P.J. Mays is a retired American professional basketball player, best known for his versatility as both a shooting guard and small forward. Born on July 15, 1988, in Atlanta, Georgia, he played college basketball at the University of Kentucky, where he was a standout performer, earning All-SEC honors during his junior and senior years. Mays entered the NBA Draft in 2010 and was selected in the second round by the Los Angeles Lakers.
