Biography
Randy Cunneyworth, born on May 10, 1961, in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his contributions to the National Hockey League (NHL) and his later role as a coach. After being selected 71st overall in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres, Cunneyworth went on to play for the Sabres, as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, and the Hartford Whalers over a career spanning over a decade.
During his playing career, Cunneyworth was recognized for his versatility and leadership, often serving in both forward and center positions. He achieved notable success with the Sabres, where he garnered respect not only for his offensive skills but also for his defensive play, which helped his teams compete effectively in the playoffs throughout the 1980s.
