Ravi Ratnayeke, born on May 2, 1960, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is a former international cricketer who represented the Sri Lankan national team from 1982 to 1987. A versatile player, he was known for his skills as a right-arm fast-medium bowler and right-handed batsman. Ratnayeke played a pivotal role in Sri Lanka's rise in the cricketing world during the early 1980s, contributing significantly to the team's development in international cricket.
Over his six-year international career, Ratnayeke participated in 6 Test matches and 94 One Day Internationals (ODIs). He achieved his career-best bowling figures of 5 wickets for 25 runs in an ODI against India in 1986, showcasing his capability as a leading bowler.
