Ray Guy, born on December 22, 1949, in Swainsboro, Georgia, is widely regarded as one of the greatest punters in the history of the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he demonstrated exceptional talent, he was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the 1973 NFL Draft. Guy's powerful and precise punting capabilities quickly set him apart in the league.
During his 14-season career with the Raiders, Guy was a key player in the team's success, contributing to three Super Bowl victories (XI, XV, and XVIII).
