Ray Stephens is a retired professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. Born in 1980 in Chicago, Illinois, he gained attention during his high school career at Lincoln Park High School, where he led the team to a state championship and was named All-State. He went on to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was a key player in the Tar Heels' run to the NCAA tournament.
Stephens was selected in the second round of the 2002 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat, marking the beginning of a six-year professional career in the league. During his tenure, he played for the Heat, as well as the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks, where he earned a reputation for his three-point shooting and defensive abilities.
