Biography
Róbert Petrovický, born on October 26, 1973, in Prešov, Slovakia, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his skills as a forward. Petrovický began his career in the Slovak Extraliga with HC Prešov before moving to the United States to compete in several junior leagues. He subsequently played in collegiate hockey at the University of Michigan, where he made a significant impact and gained attention from NHL scouts.
In 1995, Petrovický was selected 14th overall by the New York Rangers in the NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut during the 1995-96 season and went on to have a varied career in the NHL, playing for teams including the Rangers, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Atlanta Thrashers.
