Reg Gasnier (born May 12, 1939) was an influential Australian rugby league footballer, widely regarded as one of the greatest centres in the sport's history. He played for the St. George Dragons in the National Rugby League (NRL) from 1959 to 1969, contributing to the club's dominance during the late 1950s and 1960s. Gasnier was a key player in the Dragons' unprecedented eleven consecutive premiership victories from 1956 to 1966.
A representative of New South Wales and Australia, Gasnier made significant contributions on the international stage, participating in the 1960 Rugby League World Cup and earning numerous Test caps. His exceptional speed, agility, and tactical awareness set him apart, earning him the nickname "The Prince of Centres."
