Reid Cashman, born on March 14, 1983, in Red Wing, Minnesota, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman and a notable figure in American hockey. He played college ice hockey at Quinnipiac University, where he distinguished himself as a skilled offensive defenseman, earning selections to various All-American teams. Cashman went undrafted in the NHL but signed with the Washington Capitals in 2006 after completing his collegiate career, marking the beginning of his professional journey.
During his career, Cashman played primarily in the American Hockey League (AHL) for teams such as the Hershey Bears and the Connecticut Whale, where he further developed his reputation as a reliable defenseman known for his offensive capabilities and leadership skills.
