Biography
Rhett Warrener, born on January 27, 1976, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey defenseman. He was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the sixth round, 126th overall, of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. Over the course of his career, Warrener became known for his defensive skills and physical play on the ice.
Warrener made his NHL debut during the 1996-97 season and went on to play for several teams, including the Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres, and the Atlanta Thrashers. He played a total of 609 regular-season games and contributed to his teams not only defensively but also as a leader in the locker room. Notably, he was part of the Calgary Flames during their run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2004.
After retiring from professional play in 2009, Warrener transitioned into coaching and sports analysis, sharing his extensive hockey knowledge with younger athletes.
