Rich Pilon, born on April 30, 1968, in Oyen, Alberta, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman known for his physical style of play and defensive acumen. Pilon was drafted 58th overall in the 3rd round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. Over the course of his career, he played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for teams including the New York Islanders, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the New Jersey Devils, and the New York Rangers.
Pilon's NHL career spanned over a decade, from 1988 to 1999, during which he played in 622 regular-season games and recorded 36 goals and 129 assists.
