Richard Katstra is a retired professional basketball player who gained recognition for his exceptional skills on the court during his career from 2000 to 2015. Born on July 15, 1981, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Katstra played college basketball at the University of Michigan, where he earned All-Big Ten honors in his junior and senior years. He was noted for his scoring ability, court vision, and versatility, ultimately leading the Wolverines to an NCAA tournament appearance in 2003.
After graduating, Katstra was selected in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls in 2004.
