Biography
Richard Todd, born on November 19, 1953, is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1976 to 1987. He was selected by the New York Jets as the sixth overall pick in the first round of the 1976 NFL Draft. Over his career, Todd played for the Jets as well as the New Orleans Saints, becoming known for his strong arm and ability to read defenses.
During his tenure with the Jets, Todd led the team to the playoffs in 1981 and 1982, culminating in a memorable run to Super Bowl XIII.
