Rick Fox is a Canadian former professional basketball player, born on July 24, 1969, in Toronto, Ontario. He played college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was part of the Tar Heels team that won the NCAA Championship in 1993. Fox was selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 1991 NBA Draft, marking the beginning of his career in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

During his NBA tenure, Fox played for the Boston Celtics (1991–1997) and the Los Angeles Lakers (1997–2004).
