Rick Gomez is a retired professional basketball player, born on March 15, 1980, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He played college basketball at the University of New Mexico, where he was a standout guard known for his exceptional shooting and playmaking abilities. During his collegiate career, Gomez earned All-Conference honors and led the team to multiple postseason appearances.
Gomez was selected in the second round of the 2002 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. Over his six-season career in the NBA, he played for various teams including the Spurs, the Houston Rockets, and the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 10.2 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game.
