Biography
Rick Morocco, born on February 14, 1963, is a former professional ice hockey player from the United States. A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, he played as a defenseman throughout his career and was known for his strong physical play and defensive skills. Morocco began his journey in ice hockey at a young age and quickly advanced through the junior leagues, eventually earning a spot on the collegiate team at the University of Minnesota.
Morocco was drafted in the second round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. He made his NHL debut during the 1984-85 season, where he showcased his talent on a roster that went on to become a competitive force in the league. Over the course of his career, he played for several teams, including the Islanders, the Los Angeles Kings, and the Hartford Whalers, accumulating significant experience in over 300 regular-season games.
