Rick Whitlow is a former professional basketball player born on July 15, 1968, in Charleston, West Virginia. Standing at 6 feet 8 inches tall, he played primarily as a forward. Whitlow attended West Virginia University, where he played for the Mountaineers from 1986 to 1990, earning recognition for his scoring ability and rebounding skills.

Whitlow was selected in the second round of the 1990 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. Throughout his five-year career in the NBA, he also played for the Portland Trail Blazers and the San Antonio Spurs, participating in over 200 games.
