Rickey Jackson, born on March 20, 1958, is a former professional American football linebacker who played a notable 15-season career in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted in the second round of the 1979 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, where he quickly became a cornerstone of the team's defense. Known for his exceptional athleticism and intelligence on the field, Jackson earned 13 Pro Bowl selections, which ranks him among the greatest linebackers in NFL history.
