Rico Fata, born on February 12, 1980, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey winger who had a notable career in the National Hockey League (NHL). Selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round, 6th overall, of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Fata began his professional career after a successful junior stint with the Windsor Spitfires in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He made his NHL debut with the Penguins in the 1999-2000 season.
Throughout his career, Rico Fata played for several teams in the NHL, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, and Atlanta Thrashers. In a total of 244 NHL games, he recorded 40 goals and 44 assists, showcasing his offensive abilities and contributing to his teams' scoring efforts.
