Biography
Rob Bironas, born on January 29, 1978, was an American football placekicker who gained prominence in the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football at the University of Memphis, Bironas entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2005 and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, although he was later released. He ultimately found a home with the Tennessee Titans, where he enjoyed the most successful years of his career.
Bironas played for the Titans from 2005 to 2013, emerging as one of the league's top placekickers during that time. He recorded a franchise-record 239 field goals, including a remarkable performance in 2006 when he set the team record with eight field goals in a single game against the Houston Texans. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2007 and achieved both an All-Pro selection and a top ranking in field goals made during multiple seasons.
Beyond his on-field achievements, Bironas is remembered for his charitable work and contributions to the community.
