Biography
Rob DiMaio, born on February 19, 1968, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his versatility and tenacity on the ice. A left winger, DiMaio was selected 89th overall in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. He spent over a decade in the National Hockey League (NHL), playing for multiple teams including the Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Detroit Red Wings.
Throughout his NHL career, DiMaio was recognized for his strong two-way play and ability to contribute both offensively and defensively. He achieved a personal best of 16 goals and 24 assists during the 1993-94 NHL season while playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
