Robert Dirk, born on August 20, 1966, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey player recognized for his contributions to the sport in the late 1980s and 1990s. A defenseman, Dirk played junior hockey with the Prince Albert Raiders in the Western Hockey League before being selected 107th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. He ultimately made his NHL debut with the Detroit Red Wings during the 1986-87 season.
Throughout his career, Dirk played for several teams, including the Detroit Red Wings, New York Islanders, and the Vancouver Canucks, accumulating over 400 regular-season games in the NHL.
