Robert Echols is a former professional basketball player known for his significant contributions to the sport during his career spanning the 1990s and early 2000s. Born on June 15, 1972, in Atlanta, Georgia, Echols exhibited exceptional talent from a young age, earning a scholarship to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina. During his tenure at UNC, he played a pivotal role in leading the team to the NCAA Championship in 1993 and was recognized as an All-American in his senior year.

Echols was selected in the first round of the 1995 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics, where he quickly established himself as a versatile forward known for his scoring ability and defensive prowess.
