Robert Freesmeier is a former professional basketball player known for his versatility as a forward. Born on March 14, 1985, in Indianapolis, Indiana, he gained recognition for his athleticism and shooting prowess during his high school career at North Central High School, where he led his team to a state championship. Freesmeier went on to play college basketball at the University of Kentucky, where he was a key contributor to the team that reached the NCAA tournament's Final Four in 2006.
Freesmeier was selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers.
