Robert Guindon, born on November 19, 1950, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, is a former Canadian ice hockey player known for his contributions to the sport during the 1970s. Guindon played as a defenceman and began his junior career in the QMJHL, where he showcased his skills with the Drummondville Rangers. His strong performance and leadership qualities earned him the attention of professional scouts, leading to his entry into the National Hockey League (NHL).
Guindon was drafted in 1970 by the Detroit Red Wings and made his NHL debut during the 1972-73 season.
