Biography
Robert Hägg is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenseman, born on February 8, 1995, in Norrköping, Sweden. Known for his physical style of play and solid defensive skills, Hägg was selected in the second round, 41st overall, by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He began his professional career in Sweden's SHL with Modo Hockey, where he showcased his potential before making the transition to North America.
Hägg made his NHL debut with the Philadelphia Flyers during the 2016-2017 season, playing a key role on the team's blue line. Over the following seasons, he contributed to the Flyers’ defense, earning recognition for his ability to neutralize opposing forwards while also participating in offensive plays. In 2019, he was traded to the Buffalo Sabres, where he continued to develop his career and gain valuable experience in the league.
