Biography
Rod Hightower is a retired professional basketball player, known for his impactful career in both college and professional basketball. Born on January 15, 1988, in Atlanta, Georgia, Hightower showcased his talent at the University of Georgia, where he played for the Bulldogs from 2006 to 2010. During his collegiate career, he earned All-SEC honors and was recognized for his scoring ability and defensive skills.
After completing his college career, Hightower was selected in the second round of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. He went on to have a six-year professional career that included stints in the NBA, as well as overseas play in leagues in Europe and Asia. Hightower became known for his versatility on the court, playing multiple positions and contributing both as a scorer and facilitator for his teams.
Upon retiring from professional basketball in 2016, Hightower transitioned into coaching and mentoring young athletes.
