Roger Staubach, born on February 5, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a former American football quarterback renowned for his exceptional career in the National Football League (NFL). After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy before joining the Dallas Cowboys in 1969.
