Rohan Kanhai, born on December 26, 1935, in Port Mourant, Guyana, is a former West Indian cricketer renowned for his exceptional batting skills. Making his Test debut for the West Indies in 1957, Kanhai quickly established himself as a key player, showcasing a blend of aggressive stroke play and solid technique. His illustrious career spanned over a decade, during which he participated in 79 Test matches, amassing 4,255 runs at an average of 47.53, including 15 centuries.
Kanhai was particularly notable for his contributions during pivotal series, including the famous 1963-64 tour of Australia, where he played a crucial role in the West Indies' historic Test victories.
