Ron Jaworski, born on March 23, 1951, in Lackawanna, New York, is a former American football quarterback who enjoyed a successful career in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Youngstown State University before being selected in the second round of the 1973 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. Jaworski also played for the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Miami Dolphins, with his tenure in Philadelphia (1977-1986) being the most notable of his career.
During his time with the Eagles, Jaworski became known for his leadership and strong arm, leading the team to numerous playoff appearances. In 1980, he guided the Eagles to their first Super Bowl appearance, although they fell to the Oakland Raiders.
