Ron Yary, born on July 16, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, is a former professional American football player who played as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Southern California, where he earned consensus All-American honors in 1967 before being selected as the first overall pick in the 1968 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. Yary quickly established himself as a dominant force on the offensive line, contributing to the Vikings' offensive success throughout his career.
