Ronald Jones II is an American football running back born on August 3, 1997, in Fort Angeles, Washington. He played college football at the University of Southern California (USC), where he earned recognition for his explosive running style and ability to catch passes out of the backfield. In 2018, Jones declared for the NFL Draft after a standout collegiate career that included a prominent season in which he rushed for over 1,500 yards.
Jones was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, he faced challenges adapting to the professional level but showed flashes of his potential. By the 2020 season, he played a pivotal role in the Buccaneers’ offense, contributing to the team’s run to victory in Super Bowl LV, where they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs.
