Ronnie Lott, born on May 8, 1959, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a former professional American football player who played as a safety and cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he was a standout player and won a national championship in 1978. Lott was selected in the first round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, beginning a distinguished 14-year career in the league.
During his time with the 49ers from 1981 to 1990, Lott became known for his aggressive playing style, leadership, and versatility, contributing significantly to the team's success in the 1980s. He was a key member of four Super Bowl championship teams and was elected to the Pro Bowl ten times.
