He attended Hopewell High School in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, where he gained national attention for his exceptional athleticism and impressive high school career. After high school, Shell committed to play college football at the University of Pittsburgh, where he became a standout player.
During his time at Pitt, Shell established himself as a significant contributor to the team, accumulating over 1,200 rushing yards in his sophomore season.
