Russell Spitz is a former professional American football player who played as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Born on July 15, 1987, in Sacramento, California, Spitz attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he emerged as a standout player on the college football team, earning All-Pac-10 honors. He was selected in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
Throughout his six-year NFL career, Spitz made significant contributions to his teams, including stints with the 49ers and the New York Jets.
