Sandis Ozoliņš, born on August 3, 1972, in Lidzava, Latvia, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman known for his exceptional skating ability and offensive contributions from the blue line. He began his career in the Latvian leagues before moving to North America to play in the NHL.
