Sara Stapleton is a retired professional basketball player who gained prominence in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) during her career from 2010 to 2020. Born on April 15, 1988, in Seattle, Washington, she attended the University of Washington, where she excelled as a forward, leading her team to multiple postseason appearances. Stapleton was selected as the 5th overall pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks.
Throughout her WNBA career, Stapleton was recognized for her versatile scoring ability and tenacious defense, earning All-Star honors three times and being named to the All-WNBA First Team in 2014.
