Scooter Smith, born on November 11, 1980, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey player recognized for his tenacity and skill on the ice. A forward, Smith played junior hockey in the WHL before being drafted in the 3rd round, 65th overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
