Biography
Scott Arniel, born on September 17, 1962, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player and current coach. Arniel played as a right winger and was known for his offensive skills and versatility on the ice. He was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1st round of the 1980 NHL Draft, 7th overall, and enjoyed a notable career in the NHL, playing for teams such as the Jets, the New York Rangers, and the Boston Bruins.
During his playing career, Arniel appeared in over 650 NHL games, recording more than 120 goals and 300 points. His best offensive season came in 1985-86 when he tallied 26 goals and 28 assists while playing for the Winnipeg Jets. Following his playing career, which concluded in 1992, Arniel transitioned into coaching, where he has held various roles at both the professional and junior levels, notably serving as head coach for the Manitoba Moose in the AHL.
