Biography
Scott Gordon, born on February 6, 1963, in the United States, is a former professional ice hockey goaltender and coach. He played at the collegiate level for the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he established a reputation for his strong goaltending skills. Gordon was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 9th round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.
Gordon made his professional debut in the American Hockey League (AHL) and played for several teams including the Maine Mariners and the Providence Bruins. He gained recognition in the AHL for his exceptional performances, earning selections to the AHL All-Star Game during his tenure. After retiring from professional play, Gordon transitioned into coaching, where he notably served as head coach for various teams, including the New York Islanders and the Adirondack Phantoms.
