Sean Salisbury, born on March 9, 1963, in La Mesa, California, is a former professional American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons. He attended the University of Southern California, where he had a distinguished college career, leading the Trojans to a Rose Bowl victory in 1984. Salisbury was selected in the sixth round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.
Throughout his NFL career, Salisbury played for several teams including the Vikings, the Indianapolis Colts, the San Diego Chargers, and the Atlanta Falcons. He gained recognition for his strong arm and ability to make plays under pressure, notably leading the Chargers to the playoffs in the late 1990s.
