Sebastian Janikowski, born on March 2, 1978, in Wałbrzych, Poland, is a former NFL placekicker renowned for his powerful leg and accuracy. Immigrating to the United States at a young age, Janikowski excelled as a football player at Florida State University, where he gained national prominence and was a pivotal player on the Seminoles' team. His outstanding collegiate career culminated in being selected as the 17th overall pick in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders.
Throughout his 19-season career in the National Football League, Janikowski established himself as one of the league’s most reliable kickers. He became known for his remarkable ability to consistently make long field goals, setting several franchise records for the Raiders, including the most career field goals.
