Biography
Sebastian Owuya, born on October 8, 1991, in Stockholm, Sweden, is a professional ice hockey player known for his solid defensive skills and physical play. He began his youth career with the youth teams of AIK Stockholm before moving on to represent various clubs in the Swedish junior leagues. Owuya’s talent quickly garnered attention, leading to his selection in the 4th round, 98th overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Owuya made his professional debut in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) with AIK Stockholm during the 2010-2011 season, where he showcased his capabilities and contributed to the team's defensive lineup. Over the years, he has played for several teams in various leagues, including stints in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and the United Kingdom’s Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), where he gained experience and recognition for his strong performances and work ethic.
