Shane Gersich is an American professional ice hockey player born on July 10, 1996, in Chaska, Minnesota. He played junior hockey for the US National Development Team Program and later joined the University of North Dakota, where he had a notable collegiate career. Gersich was selected by the Washington Capitals in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
During his time at the University of North Dakota, Gersich contributed significantly to the team's success, helping them win the NCAA championship in 2016.
