Shawn Evans, born on September 7, 1965, in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey player known for his exceptional skills as a forward. During his junior career, Evans played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Shawinigan Cataractes, where he showcased his scoring ability and earned attention from NHL scouts. Evans was selected 122nd overall in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils.
