Shawn McEachern, born on February 28, 1969, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey player from the United States. He played as a right winger and gained prominence in the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 1990s. McEachern is best known for his tenacity on the ice and his contributions to teams such as the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Atlanta Thrashers.
McEachern began his career in the NHL after being selected by the Boston Bruins in the second round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Throughout his career, he registered noteworthy performances, including a notable playoff run during the 1992 Stanley Cup playoffs with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he played a vital role in the team's success.
