Shawntae Spencer, born on February 22, 1982, in Columbus, Ohio, is a former professional American football player who played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he excelled as a defensive back, earning All-Big East honors during his collegiate career. Spencer was selected in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, marking the beginning of his professional football journey.
During his tenure with the 49ers from 2004 to 2010, Spencer established himself as a reliable starting cornerback, known for his ability to defend against both the pass and the run.
