Biography
Shelton Quarles was born on September 11, 1971, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He played college football at the University of Tennessee, where he was a standout linebacker and earned a reputation as a hard-hitting defensive player. After going undrafted in the 1994 NFL Draft, Quarles signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, marking the beginning of a notable professional career.
During his time with the Buccaneers from 1994 to 2003, Quarles emerged as a key figure on defense, contributing to the team's first Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XXXVII. He was recognized for his exceptional performance with two selections to the Pro Bowl in 2002 and 2003 and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2002.
