Stan Humphries is a former NFL quarterback born on April 14, 1965, in Ruston, Louisiana. He played college football at Northeast Louisiana University (now known as the University of Louisiana at Monroe), where he set several records that highlighted his prowess as a passer. Humphries was selected by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 1988 NFL Draft, where he began his professional career, primarily serving as a backup quarterback.
Humphries is best known for his time with the San Diego Chargers, for whom he played from 1992 to 1997.
